Sunlit Iris

The Hondo Iris Farm near Ruidoso, NM is a wonderful place to paint and photograph. Some friends and I painted there in May when the iris were in full bloom - it was beautiful!

I just returned from a painting trip to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, where I painted with a group of artists for seven days. What beautiful and diverse scenery - definitely one of my new favorite areas of the country! After visiting Tahquamenon Falls (rhymes with phenomenon), we stopped here to paint, where the river flows into Lake Superior. I know that I will be painting many more Michigan scenes.
