Hidden River

This 12x16 painting was done in my studio from a field study I did while in Colorado. It is rewarding to use one of my field studies (small paintings done on location: plein air), to capture the scene in a larger painting.

Prints of this oil painting are available at "Fine Art America" Impressionistic Landscape Paintings

Hills of Blue

I will definitely be painting more bluebonnet pictures. I have loved seeing them every spring, and I enjoy the challenge of capturing their beauty in a painting

Oranges and Grapes

Arranging fruit for a still life painting can be an art in itself. To find a pleasing arrangement can take many tries.

Conejos River - Mogote, CO

I painted this for my aunt and uncle after having a great family reunion vacation here. We had a wonderful time there, and I had a wonderful time painting this!

Tea and Grapes

I painted this still life with a group of artists at a workshop in Houston by Carlene Reeves. It was a great workshop and it is always nice to paint with other artists - both for their input and inspiration.

Poppies

The next small painting, including the painted matte. This one of poppies.

Iris

I plan to paint several of these small paintings. I enjoy continuing the painting onto the matte. They are fun to paint and might make nice gifts.
